Bionic Hill Master Development Plan

Kiev, Ukraine

Hornberger + Worstell, in association with Addforce, Arup and the SWA Group, was commissioned to prepare a master development plan for a forested, 364 acre/147-hectare former Soviet munitions base in Kiev, Ukraine. The client sought to address significant Kiev growth and development demands for housing, retail, entertainment and hospitality, commercial office, R&D/incubator, manufacturing and warehousing by providing a unique, high-tech focused mixed-use, self-sustaining community with lasting quality of life within the City, with lower development density and greater affordability than currently available elsewhere in the market: a prime community in which to work, live, play and learn. Bionic Hill will house a population of 15,000 residents and 30,000 employees and is envisioned as a Charter City – an international Platform shaped by “best practices” where international visitors feel creative, inspired, and at home.
