For the first west coast location of Bliss, Hornberger + Worstell has created an elegant, distraction-free environment, bringing together in 5,000 square feet a retail boutique, three movie-while-you-manicure nail stations, nine treatment rooms, and men's and women's lounges with adjoining outdoor terraces. The apparent simplicity of the light-filled spaces, conceived in counterpoint to subdued lighting of the surrounding W Hotel, also by Hornberger + Worstell, is made possible by the deft arrangement of the complex mechanical systems required by the spa program.
