An honors graduate of the University of Colorado College of Environmental Design, John Davis has over thirty years of practice experience in interior architecture as well as building design, including significant contributions to hospitality architecture, corporate office buildings, and recreation and sports facilities; expertise in spa and wellness design and radio and broadcast architecture; and campus life design for university residential housing, student welfare, and services. His insightful facilities programming and his expertise in relating the scale of interior architecture with building design and the surrounding site and landscape result in successful integration of inside and outside environments and the creation of satisfying places for people to work, live, and interact.

Mr. Davis has enjoyed over twenty years in practice with Hornberger + Worstell.  He previously spent eight years as Senior Associate with the interior architecture firm of Tardy and Associates and three years with Stone, Marraccini and Patterson Architects in the design of airport and health care buildings.

As Managing Principal and CFO for Hornberger + Worstell, Mr. Davis oversees studio management for the firm, organization of project teams, and assurance of design completion on schedule and on budget. He has also had specific responsibility as Project Principal for the Olympic Club in San Francisco; the Westin La Cantera, San Antonio, Texas; the Sonoma Mission Inn, Sonoma, California; the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco; The Residences at the Colonnade and the Christiania Club Residences, Sun Valley, Idaho; the Park Hyatt Resort Hotel and Allegria Spa, Beaver Creek, Colorado; the Ritz Carlton Highlands Resort at Northstar Lake Tahoe; the Hyatt Regency, Scottsdale, Arizona; Clear Channel Radio in San Francisco and Los Angeles including K101, KMEL, KKSF, KYLD, KSOL, KISQ, and KCMG; Sacramento State University Recreation and Wellness Center; and California State University Monterey Bay North Quad Student Housing, Seaside, California.

A registered architect in California since 1983, John Davis is an active member of the AIA.  He has lectured on hospitality trends in 2006 and on spa and recreation design in 2000 and 2002.
