For over ten years, Teatro ZinZanni delighted audiences with entertaining nightly dinner theater performances on the Embarcadero, but in 2011 the theater's historic Spiegeltent was put in storage to make way for America's Cup events along the San Francisco waterfront.
After years of planning and public review, the theater is positioned to relaunch in collaboration with Kenwood Investments with the construction of a theater and hotel development across from Pier 9 on the Embarcadero.
Hornberger + Worstell has designed a modern brick building that is contextually appropriate and fits harmoniously within this San Francisco landmark neighborhood. A bar and restaurant enliven the sidewalk scene, while guestrooms above offer views out to the bay and surrounding hills. At the north end, the Teatro ZinZanni Spiegeltent is presented and displayed within a glass pavilion, adding a new signature feature and park on the city's famous Embarcadero waterfront.
